national art school

Will someone tell me which is better town for college?

I have always dreamed of living in Charleston, SC. My older sisters live there...party city, they love it, they go to college there....So I wanted to go to the Art institute there and do photography and live with my friend. And we planned on both living there but she has recently been accepted to Savannah College of art and design and she might consider going there. Reading reviews on it I feel like I am better off there (if i get accepted ofcourse) like it's almost you are guaranteed a job straight out of college. and reading reviews on the art institute is just like "bad...chain school...blah blahblah" But i still read really bad reviews about SCAD. anyways...I want my college years to be fun and exciting. My sister is here telling me "you''ll hate Savannah..the town is cool but nothing compared to charleston." So...what's your input if you know both cities? Can I still go to the AI and be at a good school or do you guys recommend Scad? :l

Charleston is better than Savannah, but going to an art school is simply a bad idea. They are extremely expensive and are granting art degrees; if you can't get a job in art (and most people won't) employers don't consider that equal to a regular college degree because you didn't take things like math, English, and science. And Art Institutes are another rip off on top of that. You'd be much better off at a real college (like the College of Charleston) and majoring in art.
